Description: The video begins with a shaky camera capturing the young Black men and women improvising domestic scenes, the audio and narrative of these scenes are hard to decipher. This is then followed by the same group of Black girls and boys interviewing each other in a candid and cheeky manner, with frequent laughter and banter between the youths. They start with basic questions on age, borough, school, study subject, parents origins and their future career aspirations. Many of the youth's origins are from East and North London, such as Leyton, Tower Hamlets and Muswell Hill, studying artistic subjects such as print, fashion and design. The second set of questions are more personal with questions on their relationships status and whether they are looking for a partner. The film captures the vibrant energy of Black London youth of the early 1970s.
